My Top 5 Autumn Activities Bucket List

Happy first day of Autumn! 🍂

Goodbye flip-flops, summer shorts and tank tops! Hello fluffy slippers, cosy cardigans, and blankets!

The days are slowly getting shorter and the air crisper, and it's that time of year when we shift gear and start spending more time indoors.

Here is a list of my top 5 favourite autumn activities to make the most of the season:

  1. Go for a walk in nature – Put on a cosy cardigan or jumper, hop into some comfy shoes and go on a leaf-spotting nature walk. Enjoy the crisp air and take in all the gorgeous colours. Nature truly is magnificent this time of year!

  2. Read a book – Curl up with a good book, a warm blanket and your favourite hot beverage (for me that would be tea or hot chocolate depending on what mood I'm in!).

  3. Bake something delicious with apples – Baking is a great way to warm up and enjoy a delicious treat. And since autumn is apple season, why not make an apple pie, some apple turnovers or some apple compote (that's my French side coming through right here 😆)?

  4. Do something crafty - If you like making things, autumn is a great time to take your arts and crafts projects out of the drawer. Whether it's stitching, knitting, or doing some DIY, manual activities can be very satisfying and a great way to learn and develop creative skills!

  5. Re-watch one of your favourite films or TV series – Kind of a variation on the 'Read a book' activity, but what's better than re-watching your favourite TV programmes with a warm cup of tea (or your hot beverage of choice) when it's dark and gloomy outside? Pop some popcorn or grab a slice of that apple pie that you made, get under your favourite blanket and have a film night in with your partner, family or friends.
